The name Tinospora crispa has also been applied to Tinospora glabra and to Tinospora sinensis, the name Tinospora rumphii to Tinospora baenzigeri, the name Cocculus crispus to Tinospora glabra.

  1. By Wallich, the name Cocculus verrucosus was applied also to Tinospora cordifolia and Tinospora palminervis.
  2. The description of the female plant included in the protologue of Tinospora thorelii actually refers to Tinospora sinensis.
