Gender
editName gender is either feminine, according to {{Grichanov & Kazerani, 2014}}
, or neuter according to the latest update to the Diptera checklist of the British Isles (as of 2 January 2021). Unlike with Syntormon, it doesn't look like anyone has submitted a case to the ICZN yet to decide this, as of writing. Monster Iestyn (talk) 16:38, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
- After talking with Dyanega earlier this month on Wikipedia, it is clear the genus must be treated as neuter because of the "-stroma" ending, according to ICZN Article 30.1, regardless of its treatment by the original author or subsequent authors. Therefore, the species list on Wikipedia and Wikispecies should use neuter name endings. Monster Iestyn (talk) 20:27, 26 December 2021 (UTC)
