Talk:Picea glauca

Disputed taxon

It appears that the basionym for this combination was published after the basionym for Picea laxa, Please see the Discussion on the P. laxa Talk Page. If this assertion is correct then taxonomically this name will become a synonym of Picea laxa. This has not been well received by many experts in conifers and there is likely to be a proposal to conserve P. glauca. However, until this happens WS can not take sides in taxonomic disputes and so two pages have been prepared. Andyboorman (talk) 09:46, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
