Parsons, 1999: 437 suggests that the three subspecies of schaeffera flying in the New Guinea region (sensu Parsons, 1999) "… might be better treated as being synonymous." These are sspp. caesius, cepheis and esme. Accassidy 20:20, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
