"Described taxa" edit

"1 taxa described by Carolus Linnaeus"

First of all, this seems off by orders of magnitude. Secondly, shouldn't it be "1 taxon"? PiRSquared17 (talk) 01:13, 28 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Now it says "2 taxa". I swear it just said 1. Either way, this can't be right. PiRSquared17 (talk) 01:14, 28 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

@PiRSquared17: ::Like all these author pages, it will only pick up and include the taxon pages that have the [[Category: Carolus Linnaeus taxa]] added to them. This might eventually increase somewhat, but will only be accurate if the category statement is added to every taxon page. Accassidy (talk) 08:52, 28 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Linnaeus duplicate references templates edit

Note: {{LSP}} encompasses both: Tomus I ({{Linnaeus, 1753}}) and Tomus II ({{Linnaeus, 1753a}})

Note: same as {{LSP}} but automatic volume selection depending on page number. Hence – same as {{Linnaeus, 1753}} + {{Linnaeus, 1753a}}

Note: {{LSP2}} with automatic volume selection depending on page number. Hence – same as {{Linnaeus, 1762}} + {{Linnaeus, 1763}}

Note: {{LGP5}} is same as{{Linnaeus, 1754}}

General comparison: LSP/LGP templates vs templates with standardized names ("Linnaeus, 1754"):

  1. LSP/LGP templates render abbreviated name of the source
  2. LSP/LGP templates have embedded BHL external link
  3. LSP/LGP templates' names are not in harmony with our reference templates policy.
