Name
editSimaroubaceae DC., Nouv. Bull. Sci. Soc. Philom. Paris 2: 209. (1811) as Simarubeae
- Type genus: Simarouba Aubl., Hist. Pl. Guiane 859 (1775), nom. cons.
Synonyms
edit- Heterotypic
- Leitneriaceae Benth. & Hook.f. (1880)
Note: A broad circumscription of Quassia (Nooteboom, 1962) is paraphyletic and so this genus has now been reduced to its neotropic type (Clayton et al. 2007 & Govaerts et al. (2022).
