Type: O. Buchtien 3732 (October–November 1912; Holotype: US [US00104527 (1177039)^{(CRIA, GBIF, JSTOR)}]; Isotypes: ILL [ILL00009662^(JSTOR)], MO-1149598 (973123)^(GBIF), NY [cf. NY04121824^(GBIF), lacking type indication], UPS [fide Zanotti et al. 2012]; cf. SP [SP010985 (30721)^(GBIF), without type indication]).
Type locality: Bolivia. La Paz: N. Yungas, Polo-Polo, near Coroico, alt. 1100 m.
