Metaxyaceae Pic. Serm., Webbia 24: 701. (1970)
Note: POWO (2025) & Christenhusz & Chase (2014) maintain this family as a synonym of Cyatheaceae Kaulf., Wesen Farrenk. : [119]. 1827 (1827). However, it appears that this is anomalous compared to other the others sources below.
