- Type locality: Walsingham Pond, Bermuda I., Bermuda, western Atlantic Ocean, 32°20' 48.2" N, 64°42' 40.9" W, from 5 m on a shaded vertical ledge at the western end of the salt pond.
- Holotype: G.W. Saunders GWS001247; November 12, 2001; UNB.
