- Holotype locality: Sri Racha Harbor, Chon Buri, eastern part of Thailand (13°11'4.21"N, 100°55'37.88"E). Holotype (tetrasporophytic plant): March 11, 2011; epiphytic on Gracilaria fisheri. Kasetsart Univ. Mus. of Fisheries, Fac. of Fisheries, Kasetsart Univ. KUMF-SRC 03-011-1 (Muangmai et al. 2014: 461, fig. 1). Isotypes: KUMF-SRC 03-011-02, KUMF-SRC 03-011-03.
