Type: W. Griffith Kew Distr. 1104 (in flower; Holotype: K [cf. K000695126^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}, 'Unknown Type Material']; Isotypes: BO-0103228^(GBIF) [lacking the collection number], CAL [CAL0000024409 (98840)], L 0015708^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}; cf. P [P04800817^(GBIF), without any type indication]).
Type locality: [Malaysia.] Malacca [= Melaka]: [hilly ground].
