• Typus: G.M. Versteeg 650 (in flower and fruit, [21 July 1904]; Lectotypus: U 0159564 (19180 A)^(JSTOR) [determined by P.G. Delprete on 24 June 2004]; ⧼Isolectotypi⧽: NY [​NY00131968^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}, 'holotype' ex U, 19177 A], U {0159565 (19179 A)^(JSTOR), 0159566 (19178 A)^(JSTOR)}).
  • Note: Bremekamp (1934: 258) explicitly states that "[t]he type specimina of the new species and varieties are in the Herbarium at Utrecht".
• Type locality: Surinam[Suriname]. [Along] Tapanahoni River.
