Typus: W. Griffith 3003 (in flower; Holotypus: K {K000031376^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}, K000031377^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}}; cf. P {P03843172^(GBIF), P03843173^(GBIF)} [both without type indication]).
Type locality: [Myanmar.] Mergui [= Myeik].

    - Note: CAL allegedly holds another specimen with the same number, but King & Gamble have determined it with I. merguensis.
  - Type locality: [Thailand.] Pungah [= Phangnga].
