- Type locality: Pulau Faur, Bomberai Peninsula, Irian Jaya, Indonesia.
- Holotype: Beccari. Seems to be lost.
- Neotype locality: Kepulauan Kai, Indonesia.
- Neotype: L microslide #835. designated by De Clerck & Coppejans (1997a: 33), bearing marginal sori of spores, from Herb. Weber-van Bosse.
