- @Andyboorman: I have found nothing to suggest that Kroon actually authored any taxa, regardless of the eponyms. (Incidentally, a full list of publications by Kroon and eponyms of Kroon can be found on the last page of this obituary.) Monster Iestyn (talk) 16:05, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

- @Andyboorman: ...strange question, but you did know this is only a proposal to delete the taxa by author category, not the Douglas Mervyn Kroon page, right? This category didn't even exist until last night, when I created it assuming Orachrysops was a taxon co-authored by him as Vári & Kroon, 1986 (according to an older revision of the Wikispecies page), only to find out later that some sources online only credit Vári as the taxon author. I am unable to double check the original publication establishing this genus though, but I'm assuming for now Vári is in fact the only author. Monster Iestyn (talk) 18:17, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
