Species Patellifolia patellaris

  • formerly often included in Beta (still in Hassler 2018). Deep genetic differentiation revealed by Kadereit et al. (2006) and Romeiras et al. (2016).
  • Thulin et al. (2010) proposed to include Patellifolia patellaris and Patellifolia webbiana into a single variable species, Patellifolia procumbens (sensu lato). This is followed by The Plant List and Euro+Med Plantbase.
  • Romeiras et al. (2016) give reasons for 3 distinct species.
