• Note:: genus formerly often included in Beta. Deep genetic differentiation revealed by Kadereit et al. (2006) and Romeiras et al. (2016).

• Note:: Thulin et al. (2010) proposed to treat all members of Patellifolia as a single variable species, Patellifolia procumbens s.l.. This is accepted by Iamonico (2019). But Romeiras et al. (2016) give reasons for 3 distinct species:
