Basispora africana D.M.John & G.W.Lawson, 1974

  • Type locality: just to the west of the village of Kokrobite (5°29'N, 0°21'W), Ghana.
  • Type (bearing unilocular sporangia): John & Seku, No. 7100; 29 November 1973; lower part of upper subzone of eulittoral, on rocks moderately exposed to wave-action where barnacles are in low abundance. BM.
