Brycinus imberi (Peters, 1852)

  • Paralectotypes: BMNH 1861.3.10.1-2 (2); ZMB 3575 (5), 23588 [ex ZMB 16122] (1), 32374 [ex ZMB 3574] (1).

Type locality: Zambezi River, Mozambique.

Etymology: etymology not explained, presumably from imberi or mberi, local name for this species in central and southeast Africa.
