Boris Nikolaevich Vasin (rus: Борис Николаевич Васин, January 25, 1897 — November, 27, 1965) — geneticist, breeder, specialist in sheep genetics, bred new breeds of karakul (or Astrakhan fur) sheep. Boris Vasin was fired after Trofim Lysenko came to power in 1948 and exiled to Sakhalin island, where he worked as a zoologist and discovered a new species of vole.
