Note: Vailia anomala (Brandegee) W.D.Stevens, Phytoneuron 2018-3: 2. (2018) was recently allocated to this genus from Blepharodon Decne. in A.P.de Candolle, Prodr. 8: 603. (1844), as a renaming of Blepharodon mucronatum (Schltdl.) Decne. in A.P.de Candolle, Prodr. 8: 603 (1844) (Stevens, 2018). However, this has resulted in emended descriptions of both genera, which requires further work on them and the subtribe before it will be fully accepted (WCSP cf. Hassler, 2022).
