• Type locality: India: West Bengal: Kolaghat.
• Holotype: No. JPK 648, January 10, 1989, Kolaghat, growing attached on aquatic weeds and other algae in a pond (pH 7, Temp. 20 °C). Deposited in the Algae Herbarium of the Department of Botany, The University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India (BURD).
