Synonyms

edit

Note: This taxon is composed of two distinct clades that could be better separated into their own tribes, Umbilicinae s.s. and the Telephium clade (Nikulin et al., 2016), also known as Telephieae ined. The use of the name Telephieae (Crassulaceae) by various authors is not taxonomically correct, as the name was not based on an included genus (https://www.iapt-taxon.org/nomen/pages/main/art_10.html Art. 10). In addition, Telephieae DC., Prodr. 3: 366. (1828) was used by Takhtajan for his tribe in Caryophyllaceae (Reveal, 2012) and based upon the accepted Telephium L. Sp. Pl. 1: 271. (1753).
