• Type locality: Content Keys, Monroe County, Florida.
• Holotype: D.S. Littler, M.M. littler, S.A. Reed, W.D. Lee; 13 December 1987; 5 m deep, attached to hard, sand-covered, carbonate substrata on the north-northwest side of the largest and westernmost Key; US; 30606.
