• Type locality: Wales, Pembroke, Skomer Island.
• Holotype: fig. 2D: James (CUW); isolated by E. Elisa Keogh; 1975; Schaereria tenebrosa. Phycobiont maintained at Clark Univ. & at Univ. Texas (UTEX 2233).
