• Type locality: lichens collected on bark from West Boyalston and stone from Middleboro, Mass.
• Type: Source: Indiana Culture Collection No. 781, 901; Isolator: Ahmadijian from Xanthoria parietina as Trebouxia decolorans (901), Buellia punctata as Trebouxia decolorans (781) (Archibald, 1975). Type: No. 781 [fide Starr].
