Type species: Tomostima reptans (Lam.) Al-Shehbaz, M.Koch & Jordon-Thaden Taxon 61(5): 951. (2012) Originally designated as synonym Tomostima caroliniana (Walter) Nieuwl. Amer. Midl. Naturalist 4: 32. (1915)

Note: Circumscription as Al-Shehbaz, (2012) not Tropicos (2016) due to combinations segregated from Draba L. Sp. Pl. 2: 642. (1753) (Jordon-Thaden et al., 2010).
