- Type locality: Petrová ves, Slovakia, fish pond. (various other locs. in western Slovakia).
- Holotype: pl. 63: fig. 1 in Hindák 1977.
- Epitype: material of the strain SAG 35.88 cryopreserved at the SAG Culture Collection Göttingen, Germany (designated in Bock et al. 2013: 337).
