Template:Taxonav2/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Taxonav2.
It contains usage information, categories, and other content that is not part of the original template page.

Purpose

This template can be used on taxon pages above the Familia level to collapse parts of the "Taxonavigation" section, for better legibility and, where detailed on the "Taxonavigation template", to display a limited selection from the full list of taxon ranks. The template adds an "Expand/Collapse" link in order to show or hide the full list of taxon ranks. (See also: {{Taxonav}}.)

Usage

Only use this on taxon pages above the Familia level (use {{Taxonav}} on Familia "Taxonavigation templates")
Change the template used from {{name}} to {{Taxonav2|name|name|summary}}
To display a name different from that of the taxon page, use as {{Taxonav2|page name|display name|summary}}
