This is a documentation subpage for Template:IPNI author.

Purpose

Adds a link to an author page at the International Plant Names Index (IPNI).

Usage

Use as: {{IPNI author|author ID}}

The author ID can be found on each IPNI page regarding a specific author; see for instance the IPNI page Carolus Linnaeus displaying the IPNI author ID "12653-1 ". To create a link using that author ID you would write {{IPNI author|12653-1}} which renders as:

Carolus Linnaeus author details on the International Plant Names Index
