An interesting historical note is that William Henry Fox's father was John Laurence Fox (1811-1864) a prominent surgeon and officer in the US Navy, part of the Wilkes Expedition and also part of the first US Embassy to Japan. Some information at Google Answers. Certainly seems that WH Fox and JL Fox deserve some biographical work in Wikipedia for anyone interested.
