Struthioniformes - Rheiformes edit

I've read in a book that Struthioniformes is the ordo that contains Struthio camelus (ostrich) of the family Strurhionidae and Rheiformes is the order that contains Rhea americana (rhea) of the family Rheidae --Jocateme 22:07, 18 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

There are many instances where you will find conflicting information. In many cases, these things change over time. In terms of the distinction you are asking about, both ITIS [1] and the Handbook of Birds of the World [2] lists the ordo as it currently stands. This is part of what makes this project so fun and challenging! Open2universe 22:30, 18 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
