• Carpodetus serratus (S.E. Thorpe, pers. obs. - I have on a number of occasions seen adults in numbers at night on this tree species, and not on adjacent trees of other species)

Taxonomic notes

• This species is close to S. ornatus, and seems to be replaced in the far north (Kaitaia) by an undescribed species with distinct male genitalia, but otherwise very similar/identical Stho002 03:14, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
