Unresolved status

Macbride (1950) on pages 911–912 tentatively synonymised Securidaca decora with Securidaca macrophylla. However, some points in the protologue, i.e. villous hairy leaves, terminal inflorescences and densely pubescent fruit wings, make this synonymisation very unlikely. Moreover, Macbride on page 913 lists a Poeppig collection from "Cuchero", the type locality of S. decora, under Securidaca rivinaefolia. Has he missed to recognise the type collection as such? --Franz Xaver (talk) 18:10, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
