Notes

• The family Scathophagidae is also known as Scatophagidae and Cordyluridae.
• Three families previously believed to belong to Muscoidea, have been moved to other superfamilies.
  • Families Larvaevoridae and Stackelbergomyiidae have been been pooled with the Tachinidae.
  • The families Streblidae and Nycteribiidae were integrated in the Hippoboscidae, and moved to Hippoboscoidea.
  • The family Cuterebridae was merged with the Oestridae, in the Oestroidea.
