Likely monospecific as Gymnopodium ovatifolium (B.L.Rob. ex Millsp. & Loes.) S.F.Blake (1921) is probably a form of G. floribundum used preferentially for honey production and G. antigonoides (B.L.Rob. ex Millsp. & Loes.) S.F.Blake (1921) is a synonym or varietas.
