Monophyletic ?

edit

The phylogeny between the families of this group is unsure. Traditionally, Elateroidea and Cantharoidea are treated as two distinct superfamilies, but some studies based on larval morphology done by Beutel (1995, 1997) show that the monophyly of the Cantharoidea is uncertain. For this reason, Lawrence (1996) fused the Cantharoidea and the Elateroidea. The Lawrence classification is used here.
