Biology

• almost all braconids are entomophagous parasitoids, except Allorhogas, Monitoriella (both Doryctinae), and Mesostoinae, which are phytophagous gall inducers (cecidogenic - a few others may possibly be inquilines in galls induced by Cynipidae or Cecidomyiidae) (Wharton & Hanson, 2005)
