Arionidae edit

The Arionidae are a large, diverse group, long divided into subfamilies. In recognizing the diversity and geographic considerations of the traditional "Arionidae" Wiktor et al (2000) elevated the subfamilies as families; Boucet & Rocroi (2005) followed this arrangement; thus: Arionidae (much reduced), Ariolimacidae, Binneyidae, Philomycidae, and Oopeltidae. We may or may not, ultimately, choose to consider these at the full family rank, but at the very least, these groups would fall as subfamilies under the Arionidae (sensu lato).

I'm not sure where Gliabates fits, but almost certainly not in Arionidae sensu stricto. — Punctum 16:03, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

This is good investigating. Hopefully when there's more clarity about the placing of Gliabates someone will move it in the correct place. --Kempm 18:06, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
