edit- 'This species has a woodboring larva that develops in live branches of Coprosma species and can seriously affect stands of taupata (Coprosma repens), a shrub that mainly inhabits dunes and coastal cliffs' (Kuschel & Worthy, 1996: 19)
- 'In the North I., the species occurs only on the slopes of Mt Taranaki (Mt Egmont) where some 20 years ago it could readily be found at night on blades of Astelia nervosa and A. cockaynei along the track that leads from the Dawson Falls to the top of the mountain' (Kuschel & Worthy, 1996: 19)
