Distinct from A. durangensis in foliage structure, closer to A. grandis in appearance, with longer, greener (less glaucous above) foliage; adapted to a more humid cloud forest environment on the wetter western slope of the Sierra Madre Occidental, with A. durangensis on the drier eastern slope. Too many of the Debreczy & Rácz taxa (all based on detailed field studies) have been dismissed by personal animosity toward these authors by certain other authors, rather than by examination of the evidence. - MPF (talk) 17:41, 27 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
