Vivi Täckholm

Vivi Laurent-Täckholm (January 17, 1898 – May 3, 1978), Swedish botanist working as professor at Cairo University, Egypt.

Vivi Täckholm photographed 1969 at Cairo University together with her colleagues Mahdi, plant presser, and Ibrahim, preparator. By then the herbarium was the largest in Africa, including some 100 000 specimens of different plants.
