Synonymy
edit- Basionym
- Cephalanthus natalensis Oliv., Hooker's Icon. Pl. 14: 22–23, t. 1331 (1881)
- Typus:
- Lectotypus [first-step by Ridsdale 1976: 183; second-step by Romero et al. 2023: 107]: W.T. Gerrard 1495 (K [K000394935(GBIF, JSTOR), received July 1865, right-top specimen]; Isolectotypus: K000394934(GBIF, JSTOR) ["Natal & Zululand", purchased March 1872, left-top specimen]).
- Note: Ridsdale designated a collection deposited in 'CR' [Museo Nacional de Costa Rica] as lectotype, which should be regarded as an obvious typographical error since all the type specimens studied by D. Oliver are deposited in K (vide Stafleu & Cowan 1981).
- Syntypus: W.G. Atherstone s.n. (K [K000394933(GBIF, JSTOR), lower specimens]).
- Typus:
- Cephalanthus natalensis Oliv., Hooker's Icon. Pl. 14: 22–23, t. 1331 (1881)
- Type locality: [South Africa.]
- Lectotypus: Natal.
- Syntypus: Transvaal: [chiefly near Lydenburg].
