Diagnosis: Sporopodium citrinum thallo acido usnico et isousnico verrucis irregularibus et campylidiis latioribus differt.
Typus: COSTA RICA. Heredia: La Selva Biological Station, 10o 26' N, 84o 03'W, 50-100 m, foliicolous, II. 1999, Lücking 99-105 (CR, holotypus; M, hb. Lücking, isotypi).
