• Type locality: "El Salado, colecciones en el sendero a la finca del Sr. Segundo Pacheco", Sucumbios, Ecuador
• Holotype: J. Jaramillo, E. Grijalva & M. Grijalva 13285 (QCA; isotype NY)
  • Figure 1 in Nee (2000) is the type of Knapp's (2010) Solanum oxapampense, not Jaramillo et al. 13285 as indicated in the text (Knapp, 2010:45, 48).
