Type locality: Peru: Moquegua Region, General Sánchez Cerro Province, Ubinas District, NW of Tassa, terrestrial on clayey rocky soils on the plateau peaks near Lake Pacosani, 4653 m. 16° 6' 43" S, 70° 44' 45" W.
Typus: leg. Montesinos 2400; 2009-04-03; Holotype: USM; Isotypes: CPUN, MO 2383567, WAG 0246107, Herb. Cayetano Heredia Peruvian Univ. 4185.
