Note: Bentham (1861) extended the family Samydaceae, publishing the name Casearieae for the tribe including Samyda. Following ICBN, the tribe name should have been Samydeae and so Casearieae of Bentham does not conform with Art. 19.4, therefore is not validly published according to Art. 32.1(b) (Chase et al. 2002).
