Type: MEXICO: Baja California: Cedros Island, south end, top of hill N of Cedros town, 28o08'N, 115o13'W, 1100 m, on Juniperus californicus, J. Marsh 7373, 21 March 1994 (ASU-holotype designated here).

Substrate and ecology (Sonoran region): On bark of conifers.
