Notes

• The position of this taxa is uncertain. In a phylogenetic study it did not group together with Prunus subhirtella s.s. (Lee & Wen 2001). It exists only in cultivation.
• The combination Prunus subhirtella f. autumnalis (Makino) Koehne is sometimes cited, but the place of publication is not found and it may not exist. Also Prunus subhirtella f. autumnalis (Makino) Miyoshi is seen, but no publication place has been found.
