• Type locality: Island Bay, Wellington, North Island, New Zealand (41º21.00' S, 174º46.00' E).
• Holotype: figs 4, 6, 7: W.A.Nelson & A.L. Clark; 2006-04-01; on rock, supralittoral, associated with sites influenced by seabirds and guano deposits, and near marine mammal colonies; WELT; A023857 (UPN1017). rbcL sequence HQ174306.
